In principle, every timepiece is protected from water and moisture. However, the water resistance classifications of the watches are different. You can find out which level of water resistance your timepiece has in the product description of the respective model.
For orientation: Water resistance at a glance
3 bar: The watch is splash-proof. Hand washing with the watch is possible.
5 bar: Hand washing, showering and bathing with the watch is possible.
10 bar: You can swim, snorkel, do water sports or ski with this watch.
From 20 bar: These are watches suitable for swimming and diving.
More than 100 bar: These special diving watches are suitable for deep sea diving.
Please do not take watches with a water resistance of less than 10 bar into the water - this can penetrate into the case and the warranty would be void. The Marus model withstands this use without any problems.
